Why should you have an Allergy test?
Allergy affects a lot of people in the UK. About 1 in 4 adults, 1 in 6 teenagers and 1 in 10 children are affected by allergy. Almost half of all people with allergy symptoms have not had a diagnosis from a doctor. And even fewer people know what allergen or allergens they react to. Some people might not even be aware that the symptoms they are experiencing are caused by an allergy.
This test detects IgE antibodies in your blood. It can give an indication of your body's reaction to specific allergens. The test screens for 294 allergens in total.
We also offer: Food Intolerance Test
FOOD INTOLERANCE TESTWhen food particles enter the bloodstream, your immune system can sometimes identify these food proteins as 'foreign' and produces IgG antibodies to 'attack' the particular food in question. This response is their immune system's natural defence mechanism to ward off harmful invaders in the body which can create inflammation. This inflammation can then trigger troublesome symptoms, which may persist if they are neglected.
How does it work and what are the benefits?
- Find out whether you have a sensitivity to over 200 food & drink ingredients
- We take a small blood sample from a finger and send it away for analysis, normally the results are back in 7 days
- Optimise your diet & lifestyle knowing which foods you are reacting to
- Our test measures all four subtypes of food-specific IgG
What do the results show?
You will receive clear and easy to understand results which with an accompanying guidebook and elimination diet diary. All our tests now include Reactivity Values, 'scoring' your sensitivity to each of the food & drink ingredients tested, between 0 and 100 for each item.
